Project
Sim Eternal City is Paul’s long-term flagship project: a four-ship “18-minute city” concept. It starts from an uncertain future shaped by climate change—floods, rising sea levels, and sinking or inundated cities—along with longer lifespans, unpredictable shifts in urban life, and rapid technological development. Within this context, Sim Eternal City integrates past, present, and future generations into the fabric of urban design. It imagines and designs a floating city model that honors memory, keeps everyday life working, and continuously improves the quality of life and well-being of the people who live there. Paul also develops and shares the city’s maps and life scenarios through multiple media—writing, visuals, video, and interactive formats—so the future city we need to build together becomes more tangible, legible, and actionable.
