Design the future city
we'll grow old in.

Sim Eternal City reads and designs — city by city — the future cities where the longevity generation, us, as we live longer, will live.

It reads each city through four forces reshaping urban life, then designs the life inside it: work, education, leisure, mobility and more.

The first case

The Future of New York — its six boroughs, composed of floating cities.

New York's floating city was the first case — one answer to a single coast being erased by the sea. The project is the method behind that answer, not the answer itself.

01 — The framework

Four forces are rewriting the city.

The lens Sim Eternal City applies to every city, whatever its geography.

Climate change

The physical ground a city sits on shifts — sea level, wildfire, drought, extreme heat.

AI & robotics

Work and production change, and humans share the city with robot citizens.

Longer lives

As lifespans extend, the longevity generation becomes the center of economic life.

City-states

Governance moves from large nation-states down to the scale of the city itself.

The four forces become a design table.

Against these four columns, we design the elements people actually live inside — one by one, from each city's own history and people.

Longevity

City-state

Work

Education

Leisure

Mobility

and on…

02 — Why

Two aims: preparedness and design.

Preparedness

More and more cities will see their ground vanish or change beyond recognition. We help the people who live there meet that change before it arrives — not after.

Design

We build the new economic structure of these cities. The longevity generation is not a class to be cared for, but one that does real economic work — the question is how.

The method is to go city by city, beginning from each city's own history and people. New York was the first. From here the work expands — coastal, mountain, inland, continental — one city at a time.

Who it's for

Not the elderly.Us.

"Elderly" is a label inherited from before lifespans stretched. What it really points to is our own generation. That is why this project's preparedness is not for someone else — it is for us.

03 — Where it's headed

The long road leads to one city — where life and death coexist.

That city is Sim Eternal City itself. But New York was only the first stop. Every coast, every mountain town, every inland city carries a future that is already arriving — and most of them have not yet been told. We want to tell those futures, before the change does the telling for us.

We can't do this alone. We're looking for partners of every kind who believe the cities we'll grow old in are worth designing now. If that's you, this is an open invitation.
